The central mission of Sonora Cat Rescue is to stabilize and eventually reduce the abandoned cat population of the Sonora area.

The trap/neuter/release program has proven to be the most effective means of achieving this goal. TNR, the non-lethal method of population control, is more effective than trap and kill programs and reflects a more caring society.

Our work supports the efforts of groups such as the Humane Society and Animal Control, by helping to reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters each year . Learn more about us.
